‘Saudi America’ remains a Washington fantasy

The FT has an article by John Dizard explaining why he thinks the shale oil boom will prove far more disappointing than many are claiming - ‘Saudi America’ remains a Washington fantasy (it seems to be readable without a subscription - though you may have to go via Google News). He quotes Bernstein's Bob Brackett as predicting oil production in the Bakken (North Dakota) will peak in 2019 at 1.2m barrels per day.
